A traditional still life and figure painter and native of Los Gatos, California, B. Nicole Klassen received art schooling at San Jose State University where she is proud to have had Maynard Dixon "Dick" Stewart as an instructor.She further developed her skills under the instruction of the brilliant painter, Robert K. Semans.
Nicole had her first one-person show in 1994 in California and has had four more one-person exhibitions in Massachusetts.Her work was in two shows at the Cahoon Museum in Massachusetts.She received honors from the Art Renewal Center for a still life and a figure piece.These paintings are published in their 2005 catalog.In addition, Nicole was a finalist in International Artist Magazine's still life competition and her piece appears in the October/November 2005 issue.The editor asked her to write an article and demonstration which was published in the June/July 2007 issue.Nicole was also featured as one of the nation’s “leading ladies” of painting in the January 2006 issue of American Art Collector.
